Ear Candling: An Idea whose time has come!

The Ancient Art of Candling:

The age old practice of candling is an ancient art that has been around for centuries. It dates as far back as biblical times when hollow reeds from swamp areas were used. It has been passed down from many generations by the Egyptians, Asians, Italians, and European cultures. It is being rediscovered today. The process had been basically lost to common knowledge for many years but has come into practice again and is being used by many people, an idea whose time has returned. So you can see it is not a new form of therapy, but an ancient therapy for a new generation

    How it works:

You will lie on your side on a comfortable massage table. The candle is inserted into the opening of the ear canal, making sure placement is snug and comfortable. The candle is lit. You may hear a faint sizzle sound as it burns. As the candle burns, warm smoke is guided into the ear canal softening the earwax. The result create a light vacuum which draws old wax, and residue out of the ear and into the hollow core of the cone shaped candle. Expect to be amazed when you see your own results. Fluids are drawn from ears and sinuses. As the material is extracted blockages are reduced and/or eliminated, allowing the natural processes. Expect results to continue over the next week.

    What is an ear candle?

Cone shaped candles about 8 to 10 inches long are used for your session. It is made of muslin fabric then fashioned in a conical shape and allowed to dry. It is dipped in wax to make the candle more substantive so it will burn better.

How often should ear candling be done?

Consider this….. Most dentist recommend an oral exam and cleaning every six months to maintain good oral hygiene. Aren't your ears just as important as your teeth? An ear candling session every six months would certainly be practical and beneficial. Recommended with change of season for those prone to seasonal allergies.

There is absolutely no discomfort to the person receiving this technique. Most people enjoy the process and find it to be very relaxing, some to the point of drifting off to sleep.
